Depending on your climate and soil type, this can be broken up into shorter intervals, such as twice weekly or daily. Be sure not to overwater your lawn because this can cause root rot and other issues. Ensure you are watering deep enough, so the roots can access moisture.

Fertilizing

Fertilizer can boost your grass by providing essential nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium that help promote growth and health. Fertilizing should be done in early spring when new growth begins, then again in late spring/early summer when the grass is actively growing to have all the necessary nutrients for continued growth throughout the season. This helps prevent scalp damage which can open the door to weeds or disease problems down the road.
